my favorite hot drink
I grew up drinking Chinese tea. Not a lot of it although my grandmother would make a fresh pot every day and somehow that pot would be empty by nightfall.
Now I make a pot of Chinese tea every day except the days when I’m having Japanese tea or Korean ginseng tea or jasmine tea. Spoilt for choice is how I see it but lovin’ every sip.
The weather is insanely hot here that I almost never drink anything hot except for tea (coffee and soup). What’s wierd too is I have a sort of subconscious schedule for when I drink what tea.
When I’m having a crazy day and my stress levels are flying off the barometer, it’s either Japanese or Korean ginseng tea. They have an immediate calming effect on me.
On normal days, it’s Chinese tea, either oolong or tikuanyin or whatever I can find in my pantry. I drink my jasmine tea cold as I rush in and out on my endless errands. It gives me a temporary relief from the heat.

how to avoid last-minute trips to the bookstore
Do you find yourself running out to the bookstore a few times a week? Just because one or the other of the kids have run out of stationery and “I need it tomorrow, Mom”.
We have a McD’s here that runs deliveries 24 hours a day. But remember this is not McD’s we’re talking about. You can’t send out for stationery delivery at odd hours of the night.
Besides, whoever’s heard of a stationery emergency anyways?
.
So what I’ve done is to designate a drawer for stationery supplies. When there’s a sale, I stock up on pens, glue and whiteouts. Not too much though since these tend to dry up pretty quickly.
It’s handy to also have extra erasers, scissors and even a couple of rulers around.
In the store room, I have a boxful of art supplies – drawing block, all sorts of colored papers and cardboards, water colors.
I keep a separate box for old toothpaste boxes, yogurt cups, bottle caps and other junk that art teachers might fancy using.
I’ve been caught out on these more times than I’d care to recall, and have had to do a door-to-door asking my neighbors if they had such items.

welcome to my shopping blog
Hey, this is great. Finally I’ve got my own shopping blog. I guess it was only a matter of time before I started one. I so love shopping.
But while I love shopping, I also love saving. So for me, sales are really the best times to shop. With the money I save, I can actually buy more. Makes sense, doesn’t it?
So okay, here we go. This is my place to share everything shopping - interesting finds, shopping events, new and exciting places to shop, rewards and freebies, and naturally great discounts and sales.
From time to time, I’ll also be letting you in on ways to fatten up your wallet so we can go shopping some more
. Don’t you just love the idea already! More shopping money!! Why, you can never have too much of that!
So stay tuned. Bookmark this site and let’s go shopping!! Yay!
