shopping then and now
If you're a shopaholic like me, you'll want to subscribe to my RSS feed to find out about the latest in shopping.
A friend and I were reminiscing about old times when we were kids (no, wait, that makes us sound old, let me rephrase that). We were reminiscing about the time not so long ago when we were kids (now that sounds much better!
).
In those days, shopping meant tagging along behind the grown-ups waiting for them to offer or suggest stuff to us. Like “How do you like this dress, sweetie? I think it’ll look really pretty on you. You think you want to try it on?”
Fast forward to today. If our kids see something they like on the net, they buy it online and charge it to our credit cards! Her daughter, for instance, has her head stuck in fashion blogs all day. “Such is the power of blog advertising, Mom,” she tells my friend, “I see cute stuff I can’t resist”.
Well, good for you, my friend retorts, just don’t charge it to my card! Wait till you get your own!!
