do you stock up on baby essentials?
I ran into an ex-colleague the other day buying a tin of milk powder for her baby. Somewhere in our conversation, she told me, with a cheeky grin and a shrug, that she had only a few scoops of milk powder at home.
Um, only a few scoops left? And you’ve waited this long to get a new tin? Isn’t that cutting it a bit close?
It got me thinking about how I used to shop when my kids were younger. I used to buy everything in bulk. I would buy milk powder and disposable diapers by the boxes. Those were the two major items that I always had in stock.
Once a stranger saw me loading up my car and asked me if I had triplets. No, but I like to be prepared. My store room was stocked to bursting point with kiddy essentials. In fact, every time I opened the door, stuff would come falling out.
So I really cannot relate to this waiting till the last few scoops or the last diaper, and then buying one tin or one pack. Isn’t that kinda risky? Gosh
!
What do you think? Are you like me or my ex-colleague? Do you believe in buying in bulk?
