how to buy stuff for your kids when they’re not with you

As parents, even when we’re traveling sans kids, I’ll bet your mind is still thinking about your kids at home. When you’re eating breakfast, you’re wondering if your kids are awake and eating theirs.

When you’re out shopping, you find yourself wandering into the kiddy department and wondering if that fancy t-shirt or flouncy skirt will fit your kids. Yes, of course, you’ve promised you’ll have lots of presents for them when you come home!!

To avoid bringing home clothes and shoes that don’t fit, here are a few tips:

  • Take note of the measurements of each kid’s feet from toe to heel and lengths of skirts and pants. This will give you an idea of sizes to buy.
  • To be on the safe side, it’s preferable to buy a larger size. Kids grow fast so they’ll fit soon enough.
  • Choose soft shoes. Run your fingers all around the insides to ensure there are no sharp edges.
