new shopping places - rush in or wait?

With so many new malls opening, I’m sure it’s going to have many of us racing across town pretty soon. Are you one of those who love to check out new malls the minute they throw their doors open? Or would you rather wait a little?
I’m usually pretty excited when I hear about new malls popping up. Sure, the more shopping places, the merrier. But I’d usually hang back a little and wait till they get populated and in the swing. The biggest incentive, of course, is if they’re smart enough to start with an opening sale.
I mean, what’s the point of rushing in when say, only 20% of the stores are open and you spend the rest of the time staring at closed up store fronts with renovations going in inside and lots of dust flying around outside?
Most shopping malls are in a hurry to open to catch the year-end shopping frenzy especially, even if they have very low occupancy rates.
