what, no handphone?

In many families, every child would have their own handphone by the age of 8 or 10 and they are free to run up the phone bills for their parents to settle.
My three kids share one handphone and as a result, are often the brunt of their friends’ unkind jokes. So they don’t have a handphone each? Is that a crime?
I honestly can’t see the need for every child to have a handphone unless they’re running a big corporation that I don’t know about. So there.
