Raine and I went out shopping for a baby gift this morning. My friend has invited us to his baby’s fullmoon so instead of giving the customary ang pow (cash gift in a red envelope), we thought we’d buy them something nice.
Of course, I continue to be shocked at the exorbitant prices of Fisher Price, Disney and all the other kiddy brands. We couldn’t find anything decent for less than rm120.
It’s ridiculous for something that the child is going to outgrow and ignore after a few months. But a gift is a gift, so I had to grit my teeth and fork out the money 
.
We got it all gift-wrapped and ready to go. Now the other problem is my kids are not keen on going to a party “for babies” and so it may well end up just Hubz and me going.
