a walk in The Gardens

I finally got around to going to The Gardens today. It’s the new building right next to Midvalley Megamall. If you’re in Midvalley, you can walk across the street from Starbucks on the ground floor.
It’s no more than a 2 minute walk and there’s a crossing guard to get you across safely. I believe they’re in the process of constructing a covered linkway from Midvalley to The Gardens.
The first thing that struck me on entering is its sleek marbled floors and upscale boutiques like Coach, Armani and Tag Heuer. Very posh. Very upmarket.
The interior of the mall bears striking resemblances to Queensbay Mall in Penang and Suria KLCC. We noticed most people were there to check out the place, not to shop. It looks like this is a shopping place for millionaires, not mere minions.
At any rate, if you haven’t had a chance to visit yet, no worries. Not all the stores are open yet, including the GSC cinema and Gurney Drive on the upper floors.
