here, robot, park my car!

One of my pet peeves is having to adopt what I call “vulture culture” in parking lot at the mall on a weekend. It’s absolutely madness if you get there late and the parking lot is full, and then you sit there waiting for someone to leave. And they never do!!
Then finally when you do see someone, you stalk them all the way round the parking lot to jump on their parking spot when they leave. If you’re lucky, you won’t have to contend with 3 other drivers waving their middle fingers trying to grab the same spot.
On one occasion, I sat in the parking lot for one hour waiting for a spot after which I drove straight home. I don’t like parking lots. I don’t like fighting for parking space. And I don’t like paying parking charges for nothing.

When I found out on CNN about robotic parking lots, I was near ecstatic. Just imagine all the traditional problems associated with parking lots eliminated. Just like that.
Yep, no more worrying about getting mugged or worse. No more nicking your shiny car fenders against the wall as you maneuver round those horribly narrow ramps. No more stalking other drivers. Or having to trust some suspicious-looking valet with your precious car.
The more I think about it, the better the idea of driving right up to the ticket machine, jumping out of my car and walking off into the mall leaving the ‘robot’ to shift it into an available spot in the parking warehouse.
Hey, guys, when will this be available here? I can’t wait

Car parking is the worst nightmare! Took me many hours to get my girlie blog up, so no wonder I’m terrible at parking the car - lol!
