just wing it

My dear mechanic has somehow created his own impression of me as being a woman who is really car-savvy. Not that I am, no… apart from the fact that I can change my own car tires, reset the computerized bits of my car and refill my battery water.

Each time after he’s done with my car, he’ll launch into a full-scale explanation of what it is he’s done to my car. Yep, he goes into details of what parts he’s changed or fixed down to where he sourced his body shop supplies to replace the faulty parts.

I think men in general give me too much credit for my understanding these predominantly male topics. Sometimes I don’t have a clue what they’re talking about. But they don’t know that ! It’s a trick my good friend taught me – he says if you don’t understand what’s going on, just wing it  :wink: .
