At the rate I’m using my laptop, which is like 12 hours a day, I’m getting worried that it’s going to burn up  . When I’m not home, the kids use it to play their computer games, sometimes for hours longer than they’re supposed to.

temperature alertBut I wouldn’t know that if I’m not home now, would I? Well, I’m planning to attach a Temperature@lert USB Room Temperature Monitor with Email Alerts to my laptop.

This is a handy little sensor that hooks up nicely to my computer’s USB port and if the kids have been using my laptop for too long and the temperature goes up beyond what I’ve set, my Temperature@lert will send me an email.

This device is used mainly in server rooms to warn the network administrator about air-conditioning failures. But it just might help me monitor my kids’ usage of my laptop when Mommy’s not home, eh?
