Down Under’s theme park central

The last time we were in Brisbane, we stayed in one of the hotels in Brisbane while waiting to meet up with other family members.
As usual, we’d flown in without any prior reservations on our Brisbane accommodation. Yep, we like the suspense of not knowing if we’re going to be sleeping in a nice comfy hotel bed or on a street bench 
!
From there, we were supposed to travel to the Gold Coast. Unlike us, my sister-in-law had, of course, booked our Gold Coast accommodation way ahead of time. Trust her to be so organized.
Her kids were all geared up for the theme parks and beaches on the Gold Coast while the grown-ups were more into the food and parks and cultural events.
For me personally, while all of these are great holiday activities, the one I was most interested in was the shopping.
