one, two, up!

For a while now, I’ve been noticing that tissue paper isn’t what it used to be. These days, when I sneeze into a single sheet of tissue, I end up making a huge hole in it.
Why is it that that same one sheet used to be able to withstand the force of one sneeze before?
Simple, although the price of a box of tissue hasn’t gone up, technically, the quality has gone down. Way down. Now it takes two sheets of tissue to weather one sneeze.
This means one box of tissue will now only last half as long. This means we’ll have to top up our tissue supply twice as often. How does this jive with the notion that the prices of things haven’t gone up?

It makes sense to splurge on these type of products.
