can’t movie subtitles be better?

Are there any good movies out there to watch? I love a good movie but what irritates me sometimes is the subtitling. Though I don’t read them per se, I do catch mistakes in them.
Granted subtitles are much needed for those who have difficulties with English but can’t the subtitles be better done, in better English?
I’m not sure what subtitle service cinema operators hire for the job but I’m sure they can well afford and should, in fact, insist on better quality translations.
It would be nice if those who read the subtitles could learn the language as well while they’re at it. Nothing kills a movie faster than bad subtitling for someone as particular as me
