It’s amazing how different the city looks at night especially with the Christmas lightings up. As we drove home from downtown passing through the busiest parts just now, there were many things that reminded me of the Las Vegas hotel strip.
Late though it was, there were still lots of people, lots of tourists walking on the brightly-lit streets seemingly oblivious to the time of night.
All the stores were still open (this month, many of them are staying open late to cater to the holiday crowds) and the open-air cafes are filled with diners and drinkers.
Truly a very festive atmosphere. If I had easy access to parking, I would’ve stopped to get a bit of all this action. But I had a carload of kids and it wouldn’t have been the most practical thing to do. Maybe next time.
