bikes on a budget

I used to have a red hot 5-speed racing/road bike, you know the one with curve handlebars. Beautiful! But I can’t say it was the best kind of bike for learning how to ride.
The curved handlebars made balancing even more difficult because I had to lean too far down. In fact, I was surprised I even made it to college and back in one piece.
If you’re going to learn to cycle, I suggest you start out with maybe a family bike, something hardy to take the spills and probably one with wider tires to offer more stability and balance.
Buy a cheap BMX,MTB,Road or Comfort Bikes to start with, not a high-end, expensive one or you’ll break your heart if you scratch or damage it. You can go look at the new and used bikes that MirracleBikes.com offers on eBay.
I’ve always wanted a mountain bike. I think the straight handlebars are kinda cool. I remember all the cool guys at college had one
.
But since I live in the city, there’s precious little room or opportunity for me to ride a bicycle, much as I would love to save gas money, get some exercise and do my bit for the environment.
