I say no to gimmicky freebies
If you're a shopaholic like me, you'll want to subscribe to my RSS feed to find out about the latest in shopping.
I was at the PC Fair yesterday for the better half of the afternoon. Man, was the place jam-packed! Some of the stalls were clearly overstaffed and these people were actually blocking the walkways.
I walked around for hours but ended up buying just a few memory sticks for a friend of mine who didn’t want to get himself into the traffic and human jam. Smart guy, getting me to do his shopping!!
I bought nothing for myself though there were incredible offers on digital cameras, PCs, servers and accessories, the latest internet services. I pretty much have everything I need right now so I’m holding off till the next fair.
A few promoters jumped on me and tried to convince me to sign up for their 4G package. Quite frankly, I believe it’s nothing more than a gimmick and I seriously doubt my line speed will improve very much from what it is now. So I walked past the so-called unbeatable prices and freebies they were dangling in front of my face.
