exercise and eat, a modern convenience?

I’ve noticed that many gyms and fitness centers are locating themselves in shopping malls these days. I wonder why? If the idea is to create convenience for the shopper, I’d consider it to be rather odd.

Thing is when I go shopping, it’s to shop, not to exercise. When I go to the gym, it’s to exercise, not shop. Get what I mean?

And if I were looking for a means to quick weight loss, the worst place for me to be would be in a gym located right inside a shopping mall.

After my workout, hungry and tired as I will be, I’d conveniently (I take back what I said about convenience being an odd concept) nip down to the nearest restaurant and pig out. The temptation would be just too great since food would be located so close by.

So excuse me for wondering what good it would possibly do anyone to have a gym inside a mall.
