I don’t think many of us necessarily look at doctors as particularly geeky people but did you know that many of them actually carry PDA phones in their lab coats?
Frankly this is news to me. But Epocrates medical reference software offers a drug guide with free pocket PC and Palm as well as Windows Mobile software.
So now, if a physician needs to make a quick reference to a particular type of medication, they don’t have to flip through pages and books to find that information.
They just pull out their handy-dandy PDA or smartphone, and there it is, the drug guide with the information they need without them having to leave the room.
