the diamond ring story

If you're a shopaholic like me, you'll want to subscribe to my RSS feed to find out about the latest in shopping.

DH’s cousin announced during lunch last weekend that her eldest daughter will be getting married in December, “so keep the date free”, she said. Hopeless romantic that I am, I almost jumped for joy.

Already my mind was conjuring up images of flowers, kisses and rings. It seems her future son-in-law spent months secretly looking at engagement rings till he found the perfect one to surprise her with.

How he went about it turned out to be such a funny story. He apparently didn’t know much about diamonds and he wanted it to be a secret so he didn’t ask his mother or sisters.

Instead he researched it online at 356 Diamond.com which is a UK-based site that sells diamonds of the highest quality at discounted prices.

The site itself is like a diamond university where he learnt all about diamonds and he was thrilled he could save heaps because they offer a 50% discount on certified diamond rings.

His mother was shocked he took the risk of buying a diamond ring online. She’s such a worrier. As if her son is stupid or something. Of course, he’s done his homework.

356 Diamond is a renown family business that’s been specializing in diamonds for ages. He swears that’s where he’s going to be taking his future bride to look at wedding rings together.
