confessions of the pearl freak

I remember when I was a kid, I was made to wear a jade pendant which I loathed. Even back then, I disliked jade for the fact that it’s cold and green! Green is not my favorite color. I couldn’t wait to give my pendant back from whence it came .

I much prefer pearls because they’re so pretty. And this was before the days when they came in all those beautifully dazzling colors like blue and topaz. Gosh, those are just so different and full of character.

My friends argue that pearls must be white. If they’re any other color, they look fake. Not to me! I’d love to have different colored sets to match my clothes and shoes. Now that would be something! Yes, I’m the fusspot who must have everything color-coordinated from pearl necklace to matching handbag and shoes.
