I’m seeing more and more of these beauty saloons and spas opening up and the ladies are practically flocking there to be pampered. A mommy friend of mine recently started she’s working part-time at a spa.

Right now, she’s only doing the menial stuff like handing out towels to the customers and seeing to their requests and so on. But somewhere down the road, she plans to join one of those cosmetology schools in kansas or wherever so she can be more hands-on and take on bigger responsibilities.

I think beauty is an industry that’s probably going to survive the economic downturn. Even when times are bad, everyone still wants to look their best.
