This holiday season, I have been doing more baking than I have in a long, long time. My kids are delighted, of course, because they love cakes and cookies. I hardly ever buy baked goods so there’s good reason my kids are a little deprived. I prefer to do the baking myself because then I can control the ingredients.
This year, I’ve been especially inspired to bake because I’ve started to involve my kids and as it turns out, they enjoy helping me. Yes, I have a couple of budding bakers who may soon be eligible for Pastry/Baker Chef Jobs. I’m just kidding, unless they take up a course (which I’ve never had the time for), I doubt anyone would want to hire them .
