ski wear enters mainstream fashion
I have to confess I can’t ski for peanuts. You can’t blame me though, we don’t have snow here so there’s really been no opportunity for me to learn how to ski.
But really that’s not a problem at all. Have you noticed how sports wear is now becoming mainstream fashion? This shopping season, I’m seeing a wide range of new styles that any skier would be proud to be seen in.
It’s funny how ski wear used to be kinda fuddy-duddy in a glamorous way but now all of a sudden, they’ve given way to a whole new wave of designer outfits by big-time fashion houses like Prada, Versace and D&G.
Hmm, judging by the heavy snowfall in many places this year, I’m sure it makes for some awesome opportunities for anyone to strut their fashionable ski stuff while on their skiing holidays.
Hey, isn’t the the Winter Olympics 2010 coming up… pretty soon? What perfect timing to be seen. I’m definitely going to be watching the games to see what everyone’s wearing. It might be just the excuse I need to buy myself some ski fashion even though I’m halfway around the world from where the snow is

curiosity killed the belly
I was walking past this store at the mall which I’ve always wanted to check out. But for some strange reason, I’ve always walked right past it and never ventured in.
But last weekend, I couldn’t stand it any more and walked in. There’s lots of really cute and curious things in the store that attracted my attention. Guess what they sell?
Yep, belly dancing gear
. I’m not sure how popular belly dancing is around here but the lady was quick to tell me it’s the best way to lose belly fat. Well, obviously! Considering how you need to twist and turn your tummy in all directions!

daddy’s supporters
DH has a big golf tournament coming up and of course, the kids and I are pretty excited. Although we’re not looking for any big wins, we’re thrilled at some of the prizes he’s brought home from previous tournaments.
Sometimes the kids keep googling for golf training aids to help give DH a boost and extra motivation. Once he gets on the golf course, he switches off his cell phone so the kids can’t call and say, go daddy go!!
See, we are a golf-crazy family. For me, it’s a case of, if you can’t beat them, join them.

exercising for the wrong reason
Whenever I go out shopping, I always end up eating out. How about you? I think it’s true with most people simply because of the convenience.
Well then, since most people go shopping or hang out with friends on the weekend, that’s when they probably consume the most food.
This probably explains why the gym I go to is jam-packed on the days just before the weekend. One lady told me she needs to exercise so she can pack in more food on the weekend.
She says, for the amount she eats, even the best diet pill couldn’t get her to lose weight quick enough before the next weekend’s binge. I was like… duh!
I mean, I eat too when I’m out on the weekend but I don’t typically eat much more than I normally would. Why would I?
