I went to a sale this week. Not because I wanted to but because I had to. I’ve been keeping a list of things I need so I could hit the store with those when the sale is on. Is it me or are the sales not as good anymore?
I noticed that most of the stuff are pretty much regular prices and they only give you a voucher when you hit a certain amount. Which basically means we’re bound to go back to said store to use that voucher we just got.
I’m not sure why people keep asking me what I’m going to dress up as for Halloween. Isn’t it obvious? I’m going to dress up as myself, of course. Aren’t I scary enough? Seriously, I’m not such a big fan of Halloween. I love to eat all things pumpkin but that’s about it.
When I heard there was going to be a sale at our local grocery store, I wish I hadn’t bought so much stuff the weekend before. Well, how was I to know, right? It’s not like they announce these sales way ahead or that I even find out until the sale is almost here.
At any rate, bulk shopper that I am, I just headed out and stocked up on the non-perishables. You can never have too many tubes of toothpaste or bottles of laundry detergent and softeners around if you have a full house like mine.
Fall is just around the corner and I’m reading that many folks are changing up their wardrobe or upgrading it with new winter wear. Sound like an exciting time to check out the season’s newest trends.
Are you one of those people looking forward to cooler days and warmer wear?
Is it me or has customer service gone down the tubes? My fridge broke down and I called the service center to get a tech to look at it. The lady told me the earliest she would be able to send someone would be in a day or two to which I asked if she could send someone sooner since I’ve emptied out my fridge and my food is going to go bad.
Guess what she did? She hung up on me. Nice going!
I love grocery shopping. Hard to believe though it is but it’s the highlight of my week to stroll down the grocery aisle in search of items I will need for next week’s menu plan. I don’t really buy much these days, just enough for the week.
This is my new strategy to not have stuff pile up in my fridge and go stale. If I buy less, I’d have room for fresh greens and meat every week. Seems to be working quite well, this new plan of mine. Let’s see how this goes.
