My neighbor’s house has been under renovation for the past 6 months and it’s nowhere near complete. She’s practically demolished the entire building and built it back from the ground up, and she’s basically putting in everything new from the roof to the walls, even down to the ball plunger!
That’s how massive the construction has been, not to the mention the shopping she’ll have to do afterwards. Well, good for us, but pity us who have to live with the constant pounding and drilling going on! We’re all pretty tired and hope that the work finishes soon so we can have some peace and quiet in the neighborhood.
Because I’m a chronic bulk shopper, I am often guilty of overstocking. Sometimes just because I see something is on sale, I will stockpile it oftentimes not knowing if I’m actually low on stock. It’s only when I arrive home and take stock that I may realize I already have tons and tons of the item already and that it’ll probably take us ages to finish the stock.
Yes, I’m what you would call an over-enthusiastic bulk shopper who sometimes goes overboard. I have done with most often with toilet paper, toothpaste, shampoo and tissue paper. When this happens, my store room will be piled to the ceiling with stuff with no standing room even.
You would not believe how relieved I am that spring break is here. I really need this break from the traffic and daily rush now that school is out for a week. My youngest however is sad that she has a lot of homework to do before I will even consider taking her shopping and eating out.
She has to complete a school project which requires her to research the history of musical instruments. So she are planning a trip to the peavey classic 30 guitar center with her group from school to look at some musical instruments, take some pictures and find out more about them in order to write their paper.
Ah, the joy of skipping a week of grocery shopping. I took a weekend off from the mundane grocery trip that we unfailingly make every week. Not to worry though. Chronic bulk shopper that I am, I can always dig up something from my pantry or fridge if I have to.
Simple meals are nice and don’t require that much time and effort. So I had a relaxing week, just feeding on the basics and leftovers.
I’m so excited. I’m going to a sale tomorrow. My shopping list has been growing like crazy and I’ve been holding out for the sale. I don’t like paying regular prices for anything. So tomorrow, I’m getting an early start so I can be at the store first thing before the crowd gets in. Some colors and sizes go fast so I have to be there before they run out. Sometimes a sale is like a competition.
We have a very curious and mischievous dog who is bent on destroying everything that he comes across. When he first came home as a puppy, we made him his own little corner in the laundry room where it’s nice and warm and out of the way of all that kitchen activity.
Now that he’s older and his bed is worn almost to shreds from his constant biting and tugging, we’re been looking around and finally found a Big Barker bed that hopefully will survive the “abuse” that other more flimsy doggy beds won’t. If this doesn’t do the trick, we’ll have to build him a dog house in the yard with a couple of blankets to keep him warm in the winter months.
