huge!

I went to Costco the other day and there’s only one word to describe the place. Huge! as is everything that’s on sale in there. I could walk around all day with my scanner software and still not be done, know what I mean? And of course, there’s everything to love about the prices too!

Only trouble is if you have a small family, it’s going to take ages for you to get through your bulk purchases before they expire. The trick though is if  you can pull your purchases with a couple of other small families, then it’d really be worth it to buy from there.

I went shopping with a friend and realized just how much she loves shopping at the drugstore. Not only that, she can reel out what medication is good for what ailment. Yes, she definitely qualifies for a healthcare job even though she’s never actually taken a formal course in pharmacy or whatever. She says she reads a lot and has a family that’s obsessed about staying healthy. Hmm, I guess that’s it then?!

love to shop, love to save

I have to say this. If I was a noob at coupons before, well, I’ve recently realized how much I’ve been missing out. Guess there’s no better time than now to make up for lost time.

Right now, I don’t have a car so I have been doing quite a bit of my back to school shopping for my kids online. Trust me, since I’m fairly new at this, I’ve spent a lot of time researching and comparing prices.

And this site that I found, at Savings.com, has sure saved me a lot of time and money. I can compare prices there and their coupons have really helped me to save more than I dared to imagine.

I just ordered a backpack from eBags using a coupon from this site and I’m not planning on stopping there. I have a bunch of other things on my list that my son needs for college, so you know I’ll be scouring their site for more coupons.

Savings.com is packed with coupons for all of my favorite stores (and probably yours too!). Quite honestly, I could do with any savings I can get as I’m way over my budget right now and every little bit helps.

can’t win ‘em all

There’s a certain charm about online shopping that I’m just now discovering. I could spend hours just browsing and comparing products and prices, and then sleep over it before I buy.

The biggest frustration is finding out the day after I purchase something online, they put up an even better offer. I could just kick myself. Guess you can’t win ‘em all, huh?

back to school soon

Looks like it’ll be back to school time soon for the kids. Have you gotten all your school supplies yet, and don’t forget the brain food like bananas, nuts and maybe even spring valley prenatal vitamins. Hope you all had a great summer and are ready for your kids to go back to school.

I know there’ll be lots of excitement for those of you whose kids are starting school for the first time. So you should plan to do your shopping early so you’ll have time for all those last-minute stuff.

at the goldsmith’s

Decades ago, I used to enjoy following the elders to the goldsmith shop to buy gold whenever there was an important event such as a wedding coming up. Gosh, I really did love looking at those shiny trinkets and mentally picking out the ones I would buy if I had money.

That is probably what all bored kids do when they have to tag along with the adults who sometimes dilly-dally for hours at the goldsmith shop, uncertain over what to buy and then haggling prices later on. Ha! I don’t think many kids in this day and age have even been into a goldsmith shop. It’s known that it’s not safe to wear gold but I think it should be quite a good decision to invest in it.
